Closure Update
The changes that the world has seen over the past few weeks are certainly unprecedented and we have been doing our best to navigate our way through this challenging time. As the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we have made the difficult decision to remain closed until November 2020.
At this time, the General Store will continue to operate Wednesday to Sunday. Sky High Pizza & Pub will reopen as soon as government officials allow, but all other operations will remain closed until November 2020.
Our spring sale for 2020/2021 season passes is now available online until May 15th, 2020.
The pandemic is ever-changing and there are still many unknowns. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide updates if there are further changes to our operation.
We appreciate your support and understanding during this time of uncertainty and look forward to welcoming everyone back when we reopen.
How Bear Valley is Addressing Covid-19 Concerns
The comfort, safety, and enjoyment of this beautiful part of the world is our number one priority for our guests, not
only in times of concern like this with the Covid19 virus, but always. At this time, we understand that some people
may choose to stay closer to home rather than travel, but at the same time recognize that far more will continue
with their travel plans, looking for a place that feels safe, shows care for their guests and that does their best to
provide as worry-free an experience as possible. We are confident you will find exactly that at Bear Valley Resort.
STEPS BEAR VALLEY IS TAKING
The most effective thing we all can do is wash our hands often, use hand sanitizer when possible, and keep our
hands away from our faces. This is already a fundamental part of our training and the operation of the resort on a
day to day basis, even above the strict government-mandated health requirements in hotel and restaurant
operations.
During this time of heightened concern, at Bear Valley we are:
- Increasing the frequency of disinfecting in all of our common spaces.
- Our Team has been and will continue to do additional deep cleaning on touchable surfaces throughout the day in all lodges and staff buildings.
- Food & Beverage has eliminated “self-service” and “buffet service”.
- Implementing a communication strategy to ensure everyone is reminded of taking these precautions themselves.
- Continuing to communicate with our employees and guests as new information becomes available or as new
requirements become necessary. - If any of our employees are not feeling well they are asked to stay home and, if experiencing flu-like symptoms,
would be advised to contact their doctor or public health facility by calling ahead.
We are also reminding all guests to follow the best health and wellbeing practices during their visits:
- Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; if soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol‐based hand sanitizer with 60%‐95% alcohol
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw away in the trash immediately
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
Our team places the utmost importance on caring for our guests and this only better prepares us
in times of concern like this. We are committed to providing you with a healthy, comfortable, and safe place to play in the mountains.
